About two and a half years ago I lost a really good friend. Adam was one of the strongest Christians I knew. His death was confusing and unsettling. It took me over 6 months to be able to listen to How He Loves Us without bursting into tears. Adam was the first close friend that I lost, and it was hard to understand why a man so able to bring people to Jesus would be taken from the earth where he was so badly needed.
This weekend, another amazing Christian man was taken from the earth and up to the arms of the Father. Jordan Slusher died on a hiking accident at a park that I was at only a few weeks ago. Although I could go on and on about my thoughts and feelings about his accident, I'll keep it simple, saying: Life is so unexpected and unpredictable. Jordan went on a hiking trip, probably psyched to hang out with his friends and have an awesome day. Cherish every moment.

Jordan was a great guy. I didn't know him very well, but he was one of those people that would always smile and wave when you him. He was really close to a few of my friends, and it hurts my heart to know that they're missing one of their best friends.
Murrow said he knows that when someone dies,
it’s common for others to say nice things about them.
“But when it came to Jordan,” he said, “all of it was true.”
I like to think that for people like Adam and Jordan, their jobs on earth were done, and that's why they were taken to Heaven so quickly. I can't imagine God would have any other reason. I'm sure that both of these men touched so many peoples' lives in so many ways. They were amazing people, friends, brothers, and sons. It's comforting to know that they're worshiping Jesus directly at His feet.
Please keep the Slusher family and friends in your prayers these next few weeks. Especially with Father's Day coming up, I can't imagine how hard this sudden death must be to his family.

I wish I was one of those people with a perfect perspective on death. I do agree with you that I think their missions were complete and I do know there is a heaven but sometimes that doesn't make it much easier because I want the person with ME. I will definitely keep that family in my prayers. Hope you are well!
