How I Met My Boys.

My Boys? My future husband(s)? Either way, I met them. They're wonderful.

fun. was playing an acoustic show on the Tulane campus at noon that day. Needless to say, I was excited. We got there like 30 minutes early, got free water bottles (nalgenes!), had free chocolate soy milk, won a free pint of ice cream, and just hung out.

Finally, Jack came out of the bus and came over to help set up/make sure everything was going okay. I saw him right away and silently freaked out. I wanted to go talk to him, just in case I didn't have the chance to later, so Kara and I went over.

"Um, Jack? Can we get a picture with you really quick?" I don't do well when I'm nervous.
But he was really nice. I told him how I came from North Carolina to come to the show. He told me how he had friends around the same area that I live. We made a connection.

Chatting it up.

Yay!

I like this one better. Sorry Kara ;)
Wouldn't we make such a cute couple?!

They played an awesome show. I made a fool out of myself when I told them I wanted to help them pick their next song, they asked what song I wanted, I requested a song they had just played. What can I say? I was nervous!

After the show, we ran up again to have our picture taken with all three of them.

Nate, me, Andrew, Kara, Jack

And then again to have them sign my water bottle/a CD for Kara...

And get some ridiculously posed high fives...

So yeah. I was kind of freaking out all day. I was such a fangirl. And even though I made myself look stupid, I don't regret a second of it. In fact, if I got the chance to talk to them again, I'd probably act just as silly. I had so much fun.

peace, love, and making a fool of yourself,

Don't even get me started on what a spaz I am around stars/etc... Cannot blame you at all, ha! Looks like fun, though!

So glad you had this experience! I believe it's good to make a fool of yourself occasionally- especially when you had fun! :)
