Adios, Summer!

I have been waiting for this semester to start since last semester ended. I've been excited to move into my apartment, to start my classes, and to get into my routine.
But I will miss summer.

Here are some things I love about the new school year starting:
I love school and I love learning. I love walking through the campus and people watching. I love catching coffee with friends and chatting. I love the thrill of skipping a class in order to finish a conversation and enjoy another cup of coffee...or to sleep in. I love getting back a good grade after not studying at all. And even better, getting back a good grade after studying really hard. I love the first day of class, when students look nice and teachers hand out syllabi. I love the last day of class when students wear they're pajamas, and teachers tell students to be safe over the summer.

You see, I complain about school all the time. But deep down, I really do love it. I wouldn't be an education major if I didn't.  But I will miss summer. This summer has been the best summer ever. I've done so much, and I wish I could replay it over and over.

My baby, Lily, has officially moved in with us. She's really scared right now and won't get out of her crate, but I'm sure she'll warm up eventually!
