The Summer is Coming to a Close

Can you believe there's only TWO more weeks left of summer? At least for me.
I start school in 2 weeks and my kiddos start in 3.

Guess what :)

By "My Kiddos," I no longer only mean the kids I babysit for. Now I also mean the kids I'm about to TEACH! That's right...I start my Yearlong Student Teaching Internship this semester! I've gotten assigned to a Kindergarten class in the exact school I've been praying to get. I really couldn't be more excited. I've gotten in touch with my Cooperating Teacher and she is a doll! We have a few mutual friends so I've heard wonderful things about her and I can't wait to meet her next week when I go to help her with her classroom a little.

I can't wait to meet all of the baby kindergarteners. It's going to be so cool to be with them right from the beginning of school and actually take over teaching during the second semester of the internship. It's going to be a crazy year, but I know that every second will be worth it!

Anybody out there have any Student Teaching advice??? Anyone? Anyone? Beuler?

Anyway. As much as I've loved this summer, I'm ready to get back to school. It's so scary to think that this is my last year as a student (until I go back for my Master's, but still). As freaked out as I am, I think I'm ready for the real world (or at least will be ready enough when the time comes) and to be a real teacher. It's going to be amazing!

The girls and I did a photoshoot last week, and I thought this "nerdy" picture was appropriate for the school theme of this post!
